Ingredients

Scale

Fruits & Liquids

  • 16 oz. Frozen mango
  • 12 oz. Mango nectar
  • 1 Lime, juiced

Other Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Ice
  • 3 tbsp Chamoy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp Tajín seasoning
  • Tamarind candy sticks (tamarind straws) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Blend the Mango Base: Combine the frozen mango, mango nectar, ice, lime juice, and sugar in a blender. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy to create the mango sorbet base for the mocktail.
  2. Prepare the Glasses: Dip the rims of your glasses into chamoy sauce to moisten them, then immediately coat the rims with Tajín seasoning. This creates a flavorful and spicy citrus-salt rim that complements the sweetness of the mango.
  3. Add Chamoy Drizzle: Drizzle additional chamoy sauce along the inside walls of the prepared glasses. This adds a tangy, spicy accent to every sip of the drink.
  4. Pour and Garnish: Pour the mango sorbet mixture into the chamoy-coated glasses. Garnish each glass with tamarind candy sticks (tamarind straws) and optionally with slices of fresh mango or lime for extra color and flavor.
  5. Serve Immediately: Serve the mangonadas immediately to enjoy them at their freshest and coldest, perfect for cooling off on hot summer days.

Notes

  • Use frozen mango for the best slushy texture; if unavailable, fresh mango can be used with added ice.
  • Adjust the amount of sugar based on the sweetness of your mango nectar.
  • For extra spice, add more Tajín seasoning or chamoy according to taste.
  • Serve immediately as the sorbet consistency may melt if left sitting.
  • Tamarind candy sticks add an authentic Mexican flavor and a fun garnish but are optional.
