A decadent No-Bake Chocolate Tart featuring a crispy chocolate cookie crust and a rich, creamy semi-sweet chocolate filling. This easy-to-make dessert is chilled to perfection and can be topped with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and fresh berries for an elegant finish.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs (such as Oreos or any chocolate cookies)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)

For the Chocolate Filling:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

For Topping (Optional):

  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate shavings
  • Fresh berries (such as raspberries or strawberries)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter, stirring until the crumbs are evenly coated. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch tart pan using the back of a measuring cup or your fingers to create an even layer. Place the crust in the refrigerator to set while you prepare the filling.
  2. Make the Chocolate Filling: Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it begins to simmer, removing it from the heat just before boiling. Add the chopped semi-sweet chocolate to the hot cream and let it sit for 2-3 minutes to soften. Whisk the mixture until smooth and fully combined. Stir in powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well incorporated.
  3. Assemble the Tart: Remove the crust from the refrigerator and pour the chocolate filling into the prepared crust, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Cover the tart with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until the filling is completely set.
  4. Serve: Once set, remove the tart from the refrigerator. Garnish with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and fresh berries if desired. Slice and serve chilled for a decadent dessert experience.

Notes

  • For best results, chill the tart for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the filling to fully set.
  • You can substitute semi-sweet chocolate with dark or milk chocolate according to your preference.
  • If using store-bought whipped cream, ensure it is freshly whipped for better texture.
  • The crust can be made with gluten-free chocolate cookies for a gluten-free option.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
