Ingredients

Scale

Tea Base

  • 8 bags green tea
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 3 tablespoons honey

Fruit and Garnishes

  • 4 cups assorted fresh fruit, such as nectarine wedges, lemon or lime slices, blueberries, and/or raspberries
  • fresh mint leaves for garnish

Carbonation

  • 1 liter plain sparkling water, chilled

Instructions

  1. Brew the Green Tea: Add 8 bags of green tea to 4 cups of boiling water and let steep for 2 to 3 minutes. Then remove and discard the tea bags to prevent over-brewing and bitterness.
  2. Sweeten the Tea: While the tea is still warm, stir in 3 tablespoons of honey until fully dissolved. Cover the tea and place it in the refrigerator to chill thoroughly.
  3. Prepare the Fresh Fruit: While the tea chills, wash and slice 4 cups of your chosen fresh fruits, such as nectarine wedges, lemon or lime slices, blueberries, and raspberries, to add flavor and visual appeal.
  4. Assemble the Soda: Divide the chilled green tea evenly among eight to ten 12-ounce glasses. Add a portion of the mixed fresh fruit to each glass for natural flavor and color.
  5. Add Sparkling Water and Garnish: Top each glass with chilled plain sparkling water to add effervescence. Garnish with fresh mint leaves for a refreshing aroma and serving presentation.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of honey to taste, depending on your desired sweetness level.
  • Use a mix of tart and sweet fruits for a balanced flavor profile.
  • For extra chill, add ice cubes to the glasses before serving.
  • You can substitute honey with other natural sweeteners like agave syrup if preferred.
  • Steeping tea for longer than recommended may cause bitterness.
