  • 1/2 Bag Milk Chocolate Chips (approximately 4 ounces)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Brownies: Preheat your oven according to the brownie mix package instructions. In a mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix with water, vegetable oil, and eggs, stirring until fully incorporated. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake the brownies as directed on the box.
  2. Check for Doneness and Poke Holes: Use a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies to check if they are cooked through; the toothpick should come out clean or with minimal crumbs. Once baked, immediately use a knife to gently poke holes evenly all over the surface of the brownies while they are still hot.
  3. Apply Sweetened Condensed Milk: While the brownies remain warm with holes poked, pour half a can (about 7 fluid ounces) of sweetened condensed milk evenly over the surface. Use a spatula to gently spread the milk into the holes and across the top, allowing it to seep into the brownie for extra moisture and sweetness.
  4. Add Chocolate Chips: Sprinkle half a bag (approximately 4 ounces) of milk chocolate chips generously over the top of the sweetened condensed milk layer. Allow the brownies to cool so the chocolate chips soften and become gooey, adding a luscious finishing touch.
