Ingredients

Scale

Dough

  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough

Cheese

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Meats

  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 cup cooked sausage crumbles

Vegetables & Sauce

  • 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup marinara sauce

Seasoning & Finish

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the bread.
  2. Prepare Dough: Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about 12×8 inches.
  3. Add Sauce and Filling: Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheeses over the sauce. Layer the pepperoni slices, cooked sausage crumbles, diced green bell pepper, diced onion, and sliced black olives evenly on top of the cheese.
  4. Shape the Bread: Carefully roll the dough from one long edge to the other, forming a tight log. Pinch the edges closed to seal the filling inside.
  5. Brush and Season: Place the rolled loaf seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the top with olive oil and sprinkle the Italian seasoning evenly over the loaf.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Cool and Serve: Let the cheesy garbage bread cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing into pieces and serving warm.

Notes

  • Use fully cooked sausage to avoid undercooking inside the bread.
  • You can customize fillings with your favorite pizza toppings.
  • Serve with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
  • Store leftovers tightly wrapped in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the oven for best texture instead of the microwave.
