Dough
- 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
Filling
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped (fresh or dried)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Other
- Olive oil or cooking spray, for greasing the baking sheet
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet using olive oil or cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, chopped parsley, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- Prepare Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles as per the package instructions.
- Add Filling: Place about a tablespoon of the chicken and cheese mixture at the wide end of each crescent roll triangle.
- Roll Rolls: Carefully roll each triangle from the wide end toward the pointed end, enclosing the filling inside. Make sure the ends are pinched slightly to seal in the filling during baking.
- Bake: Arrange the crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet spaced evenly apart. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let the crescent rolls cool for a few minutes before serving warm. Enjoy your cheesy chicken crescent rolls as a tasty snack or appetizer!
Notes
- Use leftover cooked chicken or rotisserie chicken for convenience.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika or cayenne pepper to the filling.
- You can substitute cheddar cheese with mozzarella or pepper jack for different taste variations.
- Serve with ranch dressing or marinara sauce for dipping.
- To make these ahead, prepare and roll the crescent rolls, then refrigerate or freeze before baking.
