Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 12.5 oz can drained chunk chicken breast
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • 4 oz finely grated Colby Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (add more for extra heat)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing

For Serving

  • Tortilla chips
  • Carrot sticks
  • Celery sticks

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Drain the canned chunk chicken breast thoroughly to remove excess liquid, then shred or break it apart into smaller pieces if necessary to ensure even mixing.
  2. Mix the base: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, buffalo wing sauce, and ranch dressing. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
  3. Add cheeses: Fold in the drained chicken and the finely grated Colby Jack cheese into the creamy mixture, mixing until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  4. Heat the dip: Transfer the mixture into an oven-safe dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 20-25 minutes until hot and bubbly. Alternatively, heat the dip in a microwave-safe bowl for 3-4 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  5. Serve: Remove the dip from heat and serve warm with tortilla chips, carrot sticks, and celery sticks for dipping.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of buffalo wing sauce to control the spiciness of the dip.
  • For a creamier texture, you can add a little sour cream or mayonnaise.
  • This dip can be made ahead of time and refrigerated; warm it up before serving.
  • Use gluten-free tortilla chips to make the dish gluten free.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
