Salmon
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Boursin Topping
- 1 (5.2 oz) package Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs cheese
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- Zest and juice of ½ lemon
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Optional Sides
- Cherry tomatoes or asparagus (for roasting alongside)
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the salmon.
- Prepare Salmon: Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Brush each fillet with olive oil and season both sides with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Make Boursin Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs cheese, minced garlic, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Mix well until smooth and evenly blended. If using, stir in chopped fresh parsley.
- Top Salmon: Place salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil. Spoon and spread an even layer of the Boursin mixture on top of each fillet.
- Add Sides (Optional): If desired, arrange cherry tomatoes or asparagus around the salmon fillets on the baking sheet for roasting alongside.
- Bake: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, and the topping is lightly golden.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Garnish with additional parsley if desired and enjoy!
Notes
- If you prefer a crispier topping, you can broil the salmon for an additional 1-2 minutes at the end of baking, watching carefully to avoid burning.
- Ensure salmon fillets are similar in size for even cooking.
- Adjust lemon zest and juice to your taste preference for more or less acidity.
- This recipe adapts well to other herbs or flavored cream cheeses if Boursin is unavailable.
- For a complete meal, serve with roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
